Mayabunder, March 28: In conformity with the ECI’s unwavering commitment and motto in ensuring the participation of every voter in this monumental celebration of democracy for General Election to Lok Sabha-2024, the District Office, N&M Andaman with an aim to promote greater electoral participation, informed ethical voting and to instil responsible democratic awareness amongst female voters, organized an ‘Election Awareness-Rangoli Competition’ today at Zilla Parishad Hall, Mayabunder under SVEEP activity in North & Middle Andaman District.

The Election Awareness-Rangoli Competition was inaugurated by the District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, N&MA, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS. The objective of organizing Election Awareness – Rangoli competition was to encourage women voters to participate in the whole electioneering process and to come forward in large numbers to exercise their suffrage on the Poll Day i.e. 19th April, 2024 and thereby, to ensure that ‘No Voter is Left Behind’ in the celebration of this ‘Chunav Ka Parv- Desh Ka Garv’-2024.

Addressing the gathering, the DEO/DC, N&MA urged women to understand the value of their vote and to exercise their suffrage right in a consciousness, confident, comfortable manner in the ensuing General Election to the Lok Sabha-2024. He also appealed to women to motivate their family, friends, relatives and community of their society to cast their valuable vote in the said election.
