Port Blair, April 3: The Election Manifesto of the CPI(M) candidate from Andaman & Nicobar Parliamentary Constituency has been released at a simple function organised at Party State Headquarters Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali, Port Blair in the afternoon of 2nd April, 2024. Dr Vijoo Krishnan, CPI (M) Central Secretariat Member, who was on a visit to these islands, released the Election Manifesto in presence of CPI (M) candidate D. Ayyappan, State Secretariat Member B. Chandrachoodan, Convener of the Election Committee P. Banerjee, State Organising Committee Members SP Kalairajan and P. Sathyapal and CITU State President R. Surendran Pillai.
Releasing the Manifesto, Dr Vijoo Krishnan while addressing the media persons said that the coming election is an important occasion to decide the future of this country. The country is drifting towards autocracy and fascistic tendencies. He called upon the islanders to vote for the CPI (M) candidate.
CPI (M) State Secretary and CPI (M) candidate D. Ayyappan briefly explained the 33 Point Election Manifesto one by one and clarified the queries raised by the media. B. Chandrachoodan, State Secretrait Member also addressed the programme.
