Port Blair, April 15: Aligned with the Fit India Movement, the Andaman & Nicobar Fire and Emergency Services organized a Yoga session at the Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters on April 15, 2024, as part of the Fire Service Week from April 14th to April 20th, 2024.

The Yoga session aimed to promote fitness and wellness among personnel of all units of the Police department and the general public, while also raising awareness about fire safety measures. Led by Shri. Mangal Bhagat and Shri. Vengal Rao from Ayush Hospital, Port Blair, the session demonstrated various asanas and emphasized their importance for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Attendees were encouraged to incorporate Yoga into their daily routines. Moreover, the event served as an opportunity to educate participants about the significance of Fire Service Week and the importance of fire safety awareness measures.

At the session's conclusion, Shri Sandeep Lamba, DANIPS DySP(Fire), expressed gratitude to the participants for their active involvement and appreciation to the instructors of Ayush Hospital for their contribution. In total, 129 personnel from various units of the A & N Police actively participated in the Yoga session, contributing to the success of the Fit India Movement and enhancing fire safety awareness in the community.
