Port Blair, Jan. 4: Due to administrative reasons, the scheduled departure time of the vessel Nalanda for Chennai on Jan.6, 2024 at 1600 hrs from Port Blair has been preponed. Now, the vessel Nalanda will sail for Chennai on the same day i.e., on 6.1.2024 at 0800 hrs instead of 1600 hrs from Haddo Wharf. Embarkation of passengers will commence on Jan.6 from 0600 hrs to 0730 hrs.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI, expresses deep sorrow on the passing of Shri M Ramu, aged 68 Yrs, father of Mr. Arun R/o Shadipur, ABC Colony, who left for heavenly abode today on 04-10-2024.  Mr. Jolly extends heartfelt condolences and prays for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to his bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. The funeral procession for Shri M Ramu will take place tomorrow at 11.00 AM from his residence on 05-01-2024.

Port Blair, Jan 3: A press conference was held at Sea Shell, Port Blair, on 3rd January 2024 to share the details regarding the eagerly awaited Mahila Sammelan, "Shaktirupa Conference." The event is set to take place on 7th January 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium (PBMC), Mohanpura, Port Blair. Port Blair, Jan 3: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has raised the issue relating to the lack of seating arrangements outside the operation theatre at G B Pant Hospital for attendants. The Member of Parliament, during a visit to the hospital had observed a large number of attendants compelled to wait outside the operation theatre sitting on the floor, without any provision for seating.
