Port Blair, Dec. 15: Mahatma Gandhi International School celebrated its annual day function at Dr. B R Ambedkar Auditorium, Mohanpura on 8th Dec. 2024. The theme of the event was Parivarthan. Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastav, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands was the Chief Guest.
The function started with lighting of lamp by the guest of honour along with other dignitaries and stakeholders Shri Nalin Gulechha, Trustee Raj Bai Anusuya Devi Gulechha Memorial Charitable Trust, Smti. Ranjana Gulechha, Secretary MGIS, Smti. CH Swapna, Principal MGIS.

Port Blair, Dec. 15: On his return from Diglipur, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee along with others leaders of the party met Shri AR Marudhavanan, senior DMK leader at his residence at Phoenix Bay, Port Blair today (15.12.2023) and honoured him with shawls. His 90th birthday was celebrated recently. Secretary CPI (M) and other leaders conveyed the Party’s greetings to Shri Marudhavanan.

16th December is observed every year as ‘Vijay Diwas' to commemorate and celebrate the victory of Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 war. Port Blair, Dec. 15: The week long Annual Geeta Gyana Yagna organized by Chinmaya Mission will be inaugurated by Director General of Police, Shri Devesh Chandra Shrivastav, IPS on 18th December at 6 pm at Mission Auditorium. Swami Abhedananda Saraswati Acharya, Chinmaya Mission South Africa will be conducting the Yagna.
