The Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhiji's life was an epitome of selflessness, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to truth and non-violence. His philosophy of non-violence ignited the flame that led our nation towards independence. Let us strive to emulate his values, fostering unity, understanding, and empathy among all our diverse communities.

Port Blair, Oct 1: Even if you live to be 100, you’ll never run out of new things to learn. Many people study history in schools and come away thinking it’s boring, irrelevant, or both. Andaman & Nicobar Islands have a glorious and interesting history, which made it into the melting pot of cultures, as it stands, and also termed as ‘Mini India’.

This initiative of “Know Your Islands” has been started by Andaman & Nicobar Police to share its remarkable historical, social, cultural and political legacy with all its personnel. It was felt that to serve the Islands to the best of their abilities, it is extremely important for the women and men in uniform to be proud of the anthropological and cultural history of the islands.

Port Blair, Oct. 1: On the occasion of International Day for Older Persons, the Nicobar District Police celebrated this significant day by inaugurating a transformative initiative, "We Care: Bridging Generations." The inauguration ceremony was graced by Sh. Devesh Chandra Srivastava, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands, in the esteemed presence of Ms. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, DIGP (L&O), and Sh. Manjeet, IPS, SP (Nicobar District).

The warm welcome extended to the DGP, A&N Islands and DIGP (L&O) and Senior Citizens by Sh. Manjeet, IPS, SP (Nicobar District) set the tone for a day dedicated to honoring and supporting the elderly members of our community.

Port Blair, Oct 1: On 29/09/2023, on a credible information about illegal storage and selling of liquor by a person at Govindnagar - 2, a team comprising of PCs AP Mohd. Asif, Suraj Kumar, A. Amit Kumar, G Dev Raju, Sandeep Tiwari, Sandeep Kumar headed by Inspector N. Zainuddin, SHO PS Swaraj Dweep conducted raid resulted in seizure of 66 bottles (750ml) of liquor, around 50 liters from the possession of accused person namely Sujan Sikdar S/o Shri Sukhranjan Sikdar (46) yrs, R/o Govind Nagar No. 02 Swaraj Dweep.
