Port Blair, Oct. 18: In commemoration of World Mental Health Day, ISMAT (Islanders Social Movement for Awareness and Training), a women's initiative dedicated to community well-being, organized a comprehensive Stress Management Workshop for Women. The event, held on the 14th of October 2023 at TSG Emerald View, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair aimed to equip women from all walks of life with essential tools and strategies to reduce stress and improve their mental health.

Rangat, Oct. 18: To curb down the bootlegging activities and fight against the menace to eradicate the trade of illegal sale of illicit liquor from the society, the team of Billiground Police Station takes decisive action against illicit liquor production in Badamnallah jungles, resulting destruction of around 400 liters of lehan and seizure of 40 liters of illicit liquor.

In a strategic operation led by ASI Muchary Munda, HC Bawali, PCs M. Mohd. Mustafa and Anirudra Das successfully destroyed 400 liters of illicitly produced lehan in the dense jungles of Badamnallah and recovered 40 lliters of illicit liquor. This action is part of the ongoing efforts to curb the illegal production and distribution of alcohol in the region.

Port Blair, Oct. 18: Team Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi was approached by a family from Campbell Bay to help them with financial aid and air tickets for an elderly who had suffered a Brain Haemorrhage.

Acting promptly, the Team PBGKR assisted the family by getting them referred to Chennai and also provided air tickets for the patient and his attended till Chennai.

Port Blair, Oct. 18: On the basis of intelligence input, an excise raid was conducted today at New Pahargaon near Municipal market by the team of PS Central Crime Station comprising of Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO PS CCS along with Head Constable Sanjit Madhu and Constables N. Thangaraj, Chandran and K. Rajendran which resulted in the seizure of 188 bottles of IMFL from D. Sathiyendran S/o Shri K.Durai Swamy (43) yrs R/o Prothrapur who was possessing this huge quantity of IMFL without any valid licence or documents.
