Port Blair, Mar. 11: A 5-days Peripatetic Training programme on ‘Pension and other Retirement Benefit/NPS/Public Procurement & Gem and Checks on Delay’ organized by the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing of the A&N Administration in association with the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), Department of Personnel & Training, Govt. of India, New Delhi got underway today in the Auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE), Middle Point. The training is being organized for the in service Amalgamated Clerical Cadre working in various Departments under A&N Administration. Further, the staff of Police Radio Operator, A&N Police Department and staff of PBMC, HGCs, LGCs are also taking part in the training programme. Smti. Krishna Chakraborty, Deputy Secretary (Retd.), A&N Administration and Shri K. Palani, Office Superintendent (AR &Trg.) as the resource persons are conducting classes on ‘Checks on Delay’.

Port Blair, March 10: The United States Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf departed from Port Blair, India, on 09 Mar 24, after a successful visit strengthening the partnership between the USCG and Indian Coast Guard (ICG). The four-day visit is aimed to enhance maritime cooperation and interoperability between the two forces.

The visit was marked by a series of engaging harbour activities and sea exercise designed to foster collaboration. The activities included cross-visits, where crew members from both the Bertholf and ICG had the opportunity to tour each other's ships, gaining valuable insights into their capabilities and procedures. A friendly badminton competition was also organised, which provided a light-hearted opportunity for crews to interact and build camaraderie outside a professional setting.
