Port Blair, June 1: A Dry Run to review the arrangements made for the smooth counting of votes was held at the Counting Centre, JNRM here today. The Chief Electoral Officer, A & N Islands, Shri B. S Jaglan, IAS along with Returning Officer, ANIPC, Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS and other officials related to Election, as a team visited the Counting Centre at JNRM and reviewed the Counting arrangements as per the instructions of Election Commission of India in connection with the General Election to Lok Sabha–2024. The Counting of votes will take place at the Counting Centre at JNRM from 8 am onwards on June 4, 2024.

Port Blair, June 2: Regional News Unit Port Blair has made special arrangements to broadcast news Bulletins to cover the results of the General Elections- 2024 on 4th June 2024, (Tuesday). Apart from the regular bulletins at 7.05 AM and 7.05 PM hourly bulletins have been planned for broadcast. The bulletin timings are 930 hrs, 1030 hrs, 1130 hrs, 1230 hrs, 1330 hrs, 1500 hrs, 1600 hrs, 1700 hrs, 1830 hrs, 1945 hrs, 2030 hrs, 2130 hrs & 2230 hrs. The hourly bulletin may continue if the counting continues beyond 2230 hrs.    

Port Blair, June 1: The candidates who applied for the post of Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers under ICDS Project, Rangat as per the advertisement made by ICDS Project, Rangat and on completion of date of receipt of application on 30/05/2024, the applications were securitized and the list of candidates along with the eligibility and non-eligibility as per guidelines with reasons have been displayed in the Notice Board of the Office of CDPO, ICDS Project, Rangat. Necessary claims and objections, if any, may be submitted within 2 days from the date of the issue of this notice.

Port Blair, June 2: A landmark initiative of Tele-Mental Health Assistance and Networking across States (Tele-MANAS) was launched on 10th October 2022 on the occasion of World Mental Health Day with the aim to provide free Tele-Mental Health Services all over the country round the clock, particularly catering to the people in remote and underserved areas. A Toll Free 24X7 Helpline Number 14416 or 1800-891-4416 has been set up to cater and deliver the Tele mental healthcare services to the people of A&N Islands.

Port Blair, June 2: Due to squally weather, wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur along and off Andaman & Nicobar Coast. Sea condition is very likely to be rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the North Andaman Sea till morning of June 7.
