Port Blair, May 19: A two weeks training on Advanced Pedagogy was organised at DBRAIT for the faculty and staff from May 7 to 17, 2024. During the training, faculties from National Institute for Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR), Chennai  conducted special sessions on various aspects of Advanced Pedagogy including  Digital Tools and Resources for Effective Teaching,  Tools for Qualitative Assessment, Cultivating Critical Thinking and Creativity, Artificial Intelligence in Contemporary, Design Thinking for Enhancing Pedagogical Practices, Understanding Generation Z Learners, Reflective Teaching Practices, Fostering Entrepreneurial Thinking in Engineering Pedagogy including Understanding the NEP-2020 Framework.

Port Blair, May 19: The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Gol is implementing the Central Sector Scheme of ‘Free coaching for SC and OBC students’. The objective of the scheme is to provide coaching of good quality for economically disadvantages Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) candidates to enable them appear in competitive examinations for obtaining appropriate jobs in Public/Private Sector and/or for securing admissions in reputed technical and professional higher education institutions.

Port Blair, May 19: A new trend in financial cyber fraud has been observed where fraudsters send fake job offer SMSs to perpetrate Cyber Crime. Fraudsters place online advertisements claiming that they can give jobs where one can make large amount of money working from home with little time and effort. A job scam occurs when a fraudster poses as an employer or recruiter, and offers attractive employment opportunities, which require job seekers to pay some money in advance. The SMSs sent by fraudsters offer high-paying part-time jobs to siphon off victims’ money and their personal information.
