Port Blair, Nov. 29: The Hall Ticket for the post of Veterinary Compounder in Directorate of AH&VS will be uploaded in the Departmental website of https://ahvs.andaman.gov.in and in Administration’s website www.andaman.gov.in  on 30/11/2023 from 11 am. The exam for the post of Veterinary Compounder is scheduled to be held on 14/12/2023.

Port Blair, Nov. 29: The passenger/general public have been informed that due to Cyclonic Weather Condition over South East Bay of Bengal and keeping in view of the safety of passengers and vessel, the scheduled sailing programme of MV Bharat Seema to Car Nicobar via Little Andaman on Nov. 30 at 7 am from Port Blair and her return voyage on Dec. 1 at 4 pm from Car Nicobar to Port Blair via Little Andaman has been postponed till further notice.

Port Blair, Nov. 29: Heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on Nov. 30 & Dec. 1. Meanwhile, due to formation of well-marked Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining south Andaman Sea and its likely intensification into a Depression over southeast Bay of Bengal, squally weather with wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to prevail over Andaman Sea and neighbourhood. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till Dec.1.

Port Blair, Nov. 29: Firing practice will carried out by ICG Dornier on Nov. 30 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Safe flying height is 6000 AMSL. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their vehicle/livestocks away from the firing range during above mentioned date and time.

Port Blair, Nov. 28: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary to solve the issue of power crisis in Swaraj Dweep.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, the MP mentioned that Swaraj Dweep is currently grappling with a severe power crisis, leading to frequent and prolonged power cuts.

He said that the consequences of this power crisis are far-reaching. Tourists visiting Swaraj Dweep, a significant face of the Andaman & Nicobar Tourism Industry are experiencing daily inconveniences due to 10 to 15 power cuts. These disruptions are not only tarnishing their experience but also leaving them understandably frustrated.
