Port Blair, Sept. 4: The Tribal Development Council (TDC) has demanded in enquiry into the death of a unborn child at GB Pant Hospital, which is alleged to be because of medical negligence.

Officers' Association, A&N Islands denounce the renewed move of the Government of India  to unilaterally and on absolutely  arbitrary grounds, impose conditions for forced premature retirement on the Government employees vide Office memorandum No.25013/03/2019-Estt.A-IV dated 28th August 2020 issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public grievances and pensions ,Department of Personnel and Training.

Port Blair, Sept. 3: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi to consider for granting recognition to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS ) to start Postgraduate medical courses in various disciplines of medicine and surgery from the forthcoming session of 2021-2022 since the Medical College at Port Blair shall be sending out its first batch of the qualified Undergraduate MBBS Doctors in the month of January - February 2021.
