New Delhi, Jan 9: The CPI(M) has strongly objected to the recommendation on the concept of One Nation, One Election, mentioning that the High Level Committee’s agenda and purpose is pre-decided and pre-destined.
In a letter to the Secretary, High Level Committee – One Nation, One Election, the General Secretary CPI(M) Shri Sitaram Yechury stated:
“At the outset we would like to register our strong objection to the manner in which the concept of “One Nation, One Election” is being sought to be imposed.

Teressa (Nicobar), Jan 9: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of BJP and Former State President BJP-ANI, hoisted the Party flag at Khalasi village in Terresa Island. The event was attended by Shri E.S Rajesh, District President of Nicobar BJP, Shri Wilson Zachariah (Kalasi Captain), Shri Reuben (2nd Captain) and tribal people from various villages adding to the significance of the flag hoisting event. This is the first time ever for any political party to hoist its flag in this village.

In order to ensure prompt disposal of grievances, the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration has directed all the Secretaries and HoDs to dispose the grievance within 7 days. Port Blair, Jan. 9: The A&N Islands State Haj Committee has invited online applications forms from the eligible persons for selection as Trainers for Haj-2024. The applicant should fill the form online on the website of HCoI at https://hajcomittee.gov.in. The opening date & time for receiving online application is Jan.8, 2024 and the last date & time for receiving online application is Jan. 15, 2024. No offline application will be accepted by the Office of A&N Islands State Haj Committee.
