Port Blair, Oct. 4: Due to inadequate berthing space at Car Nicobar Port, the sailing programme of the vessel Sindhu for Car Nicobar via Little Andaman on 06.10.2023 at 1000 hrs from Port Blair and her return voyage on 07.10.2023 at 1200 hrs from Car Nicobar to Port Blair via Little Andaman has been cancelled. Passengers those who have purchased their tickets for Sindhu have been informed to cancel their tickets and get full refund.

Port Blair, Oct. 3: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kudleep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to increase fund allocation for the Department of Youth Affairs to help enhance Youth Infrastructure in these Islands.

In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament said that investing in the youth infrastructure of these Islands is vital to ensure that our young population not only remains physically and mentally fit but also excels in national and international level sporting events.

Port Blair, Oct 3: CITU, A&N State Committee has organized a Seminar today at Port Blair in connection with the International Action Day, call for which was given by the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).  This year’s theme for the International Action Day was “Work with Rights, No to Flexibilities and No to Exploitation.”  D. Ayyappan, Vice President, CITU State Committee, who was the main speaker, dealt in brief various problems confronted by the working class all over the world in general and those in India in particular.
