A&N Police's Cyber Awareness Drive Conducted at Nirmala & Girls' Sr. Sec. Schools

Port Blair, Oct. 4: In today's interconnected world, where the internet plays an integral role in our daily lives, the importance of cyber awareness cannot be overstated. Cybercrimes in today's world are constantly evolving as technology advances, and cybercriminals become more sophisticated. The internet's central role in our lives makes it crucial for students to be aware of the various types of cybercrimes to protect themselves online. To promote digital safety and cybersecurity awareness among students, the Cyber cell of A&N Police organized a Cyber Jaagrookta at Nirmal Sr. Sec. School & Girls’ Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair, on 03.10.2023 and 04.10.2023 respectively.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has requested the LG, A & N Islands to initiate regular boat services between Port Blair and Inter-Islands (North & Middle Andaman).

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Halder highlighted a matter of great importance concerning the transportation infrastructure in the North and Middle Andaman region.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: Continuing its crackdown on the illicit liquor, Handia, illegal sale of IMFL & illicit drugs, the District Police of North & Middle Andaman with the help of local informers conducted regular raids and searches in jungles. During the month of September-2023, the teams of various Police Stations, headed by SHOs and Sub-Inspectors conducted raids & massive jungle search operation.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: The National Students’ Union of India State President, A&N Islands, Mr. M.A Sajid has demanded for opening and renovations of the Blocks built under the premises of Girls Hostel, JNRM.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble LG, A & N Islands, Mr. Sajid said that despite the completion of the construction of New Blocks in JNRM Girls Hostel, the building premises remain unoccupied, leaving many students in a state of distress.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: A delegation of Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh today met the Commissioner – cum – Secretary (Health), A&N Administration on the issue of non – payment of salary for two months of NHM staff attached with State Health Society.

The service period of all incumbents were expired on 31st July 2023 but the extension of service for according approval of the competent authority was not carried out by the State Health Society whereas the respective Districts of South Andaman, North & Middle Andaman and Nicobar districts got the extension of service and the salaries were paid smoothly.
