Port Blair, July 8: Bharatiya Janata Party led by its State President, Shri Ajoy Bairagi after noticing the problems being faced by large number of passengers/localities has requested the concerned officials of Directorate of Shipping Services, A & N Administration, Port Blair through Shri. Raja the State Coordinator (Shipping Sector), BJP – A & N Islands, for resumption of the services of one speed boat with capacity of 75 – 100 Pax between Rangat to Swaraj Dweep and vice-versa, as was being plied prior to lockdown, at the earliest.

Member of Parliament Suggest Lt. Governor to Opt for Rain Water Harvesting

Port Blair, July 7: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to issue direction to the concerned department to make arrangement for Rain Water Harvesting System at GB Pant Hospital for collection and storage of rainwater, which would to some extent solve the water scarcity in the hospital.

Port Blair, July 7: Continuing with its mission to serve the islanders in need, the team of ‘Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi’ distributed health kits consisting 1 kg Bounvita, 200 ml Sanitiser, Cookies, Biscuits and chocolates to children residing at Bethney Child Care, Bathubasti, Calvary Children Home, Badmashpahad and Love Children’s Home, Indra Nagar, Manglutan. A total around 110 kits were distributed on 19th June 2020.
