Port Blair, Jan. 11: The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) is one of the Flagship Schemes of the Govt. of India. The scheme is being implemented in these Islands since 2016. The scheme envisages providing Insurance coverage to the farmers for crop loss arising out of natural calamities. The PMFBY supports sustainable income in Agriculture sector by providing financial support to the farmers who suffer crop-loss due unforeseen events. The scheme ensures flow of credit to the agriculture sector and stabilizes the income of the farmers.

Car Nicobar, Jan. 11: The Prestigious Silver Jubilee XXV Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2023-24 is being held at BJR Stadium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar from 9th January, 2024 and will continue upto 18th January, 2024. Altogether 13 Teams from A & N Islands are participating in this mega event.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma has sanctioned purchase and supply of one special bus under MPLADS fund to the CRC Brookshabad.
