Port Blair, Jan 11: The Technical Event on Waste Management and Waste to Energy was conducted successfully on 10.01.2024 by The Institution of Engineers, Andaman and Nicobar State Centre. The Speaker was Prof. Dr. Babu J Alappat from IIT Delhi. The session was very informative and interactive. Engineers from APWD, ALHW, MES, DHS, DRDPRI, PBMC, NLC and Other Central and State Government agencies participated in the program, Deputy Director (Health) and Research Faculty from ICMR were also the guests on the occasion.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI, expresses deep sorrow on the passing of Smt. Laxmi, aged 86 Yrs, mother of Shri C. Karunanidhi, Councillor PBMC, Ward No. – 16, who left for heavenly abode today on 11-01-2024 at G.B. Pant Hospital. Mr. Jolly extends heartfelt condolences and prays for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to her bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. The funeral procession will take place tomorrow at 12.00 PM from Kamraj Nagar, Near Ganesh Temple, Netaji Colony on 12-01-2024.

Port Blair, Jan 11: As per the direction given by the District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar district, a Special Adoption Facilitation Camp will be organised by the District Child Protection Unit, Nicobar at Campbell Bay & Nancowry Group of Islands, to facilitate the Prospective Adoption Parents (PAPs) for registering in designated portal in reference with the Juvenile Justice Act (Care & Protection) Amendment Act 2021 & Adoption Regulation Rules 2022.

Port Blair, Jan. 10: The Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS launched the ANI eSeva Portal and AN Seva 311 Mobile App in a simple function held today in the presence of Commissioner-cum-Secretary (IT), Secretary (IT), Secretary (GA), Special Secretary (IT) and other officials of Department of IT and SOVTECH.
In order to facilitate the citizens to access all eServices offered by Andaman & Nicobar Administration in a single window, Department of IT with the assistance of SOVTECH has developed ANI e-Seva Portal (www.anieseva.andaman.gov.in). The portal is intended to act as a single window interface for all the services offered by various Government Departments, institutions and organizations. Services offered by various Government Departments are now served by various applications and software and this portal brings together all those applications under a common umbrella. Individual web applications can be accessed from this portal for availing the particular services offered by them.
