Car Nicobar, Jan. 10: The inaugural ceremony of the Prestigious Silver Jubilee XXV Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2023-24 was held at BJR Stadium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar yesterday. Ms. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (N)/Chairman (Org. Committee, XXV VPC 2023-24 Car Nicobar) graced the occasion as chief guest & declared the Championship Open. Shri. Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, SP (N) was the guest of honour. Shri Lionald Nicomede, Chairman, Tribal Council presided over the inaugural ceremony whereas Rt.Rev Christopher Paul, Bishop, A & N Island blessed the participants. Altogether 13 Teams from A & N Islands are participating in this mega event.

On January 14, 2023, at 6 am, a delightful and meaningful Pet Walk is scheduled to take place. This Pet Walk holds great significance as it symbolizes a collective celebration of Animal Welfare and companionship. The event will commence from Marina Park, extending all the way to Flag Point, encompassing a scenic and enjoyable route for the participating pet owners and their furry companions.

-The movement of all vehicular traffic shall be closed from R. K. Mission to Dharamshala Junction and from Scout Hut Junction to Girls School Crossing from 0700 Hrs onwards till dispersal of contingents.
