Car Nicobar, Jan. 10: The inaugural ceremony of the Prestigious Silver Jubilee XXV Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2023-24 was held at BJR Stadium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar yesterday. Ms. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (N)/Chairman (Org. Committee, XXV VPC 2023-24 Car Nicobar) graced the occasion as chief guest & declared the Championship Open. Shri. Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, SP (N) was the guest of honour. Shri Lionald Nicomede, Chairman, Tribal Council presided over the inaugural ceremony whereas Rt.Rev Christopher Paul, Bishop, A & N Island blessed the participants. Altogether 13 Teams from A & N Islands are participating in this mega event.

Port Blair, Jan. 10: Applications have been invited online from the eligible candidates who possess the required educational qualification for the post of Pharmacist Grade Ill in A & N Health Department. The application in full shape should be uploaded online from 10.01.2024 (11.00 AM) to 31.01.2024 (12.00 Midnight).
The candidates who have already applied in terms of previous vacancy notices dated 28.09.2018 and 21.06.2019 and shortlisted as eligible to appear for the recruitment examination published on 05.11.2020 need not submit application again.

On January 14, 2023, at 6 am, a delightful and meaningful Pet Walk is scheduled to take place. This Pet Walk holds great significance as it symbolizes a collective celebration of Animal Welfare and companionship. The event will commence from Marina Park, extending all the way to Flag Point, encompassing a scenic and enjoyable route for the participating pet owners and their furry companions.

Port Blair, Jan. 10: It is notified for the information of the General Public that the following Traffic arrangements have been made for all Rehearsal days in connection with Republic Day Function starting from 12th Jan. 2024 (Friday) onwards.
-The movement of all vehicular traffic shall be closed from R. K. Mission to Dharamshala Junction and from Scout Hut Junction to Girls School Crossing from 0700 Hrs onwards till dispersal of contingents.
