Acting immediately to this Shri Mandeep Grewal, Founder & President, PBGKR and his team donated 120+ new clothes for the Women of the Village.

Port Blair, Feb 23: Port Blair Smart City Project Ltd. will be conducting GiS mapping survey work across the city which will cover all households, commercial and other establishments including assets developed by various Departments etc. The survey work will be executed by team leaders of Allvy Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, under ICCC project.            

Port Blair, Feb 23: A three days training programme on “Appropriate Cultivation and Postharvest Practices for Producing Quality Spices in the Plantation Crops Based Cropping Systems” was organized during February 19 to 21, 2024 at ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair under CSS-MIDH (NHM) Project on Spices. The programme aimed at imparting theoretical and practical training on various cultivation and management aspects of spices to the Nicobarese farmers of Car Nicobar Island. During the inaugural programme, Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI, interacted with the farmers and urged them to participate in the programme in fervor. He discussed various production and marketing related issues faced by these farmers from southern group of islands. Course Director and Dr. Ajit Arun Waman and Co-course directors- Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Pooja Bohra and Dr. P.K. Singh also spoke on the occasion.

In the first 50 days of this year so far (01.01.2024 – 19.02.2024), continuing the crackdown on traffic violations, the Department has issued a total of 6983 Traffic challans, reflecting its unwavering dedication to upholding strict enforcement of traffic regulations and safeguarding the lives of citizens.
