Swaraj Dweep, Dec. 17: In a remarkable display of diligence and professionalism, the Swaraj Dweep Police have successfully solved the blind case of an attempted murder that was reported on September 14, 2023. On the dreadful day, the victim was attacked inside his own house by unkown persons. The collaborative efforts of the police force, led by Inspector N. Zainuddin, SHO PS Swaraj Dweep, resulted in the swift identification and arrest of the accused.

Port Blair, Dec. 17: Shri Y. Satya Kumar, National Secretary and Prabhari for A&N BJP, had reached Port Blair on a two-day visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on December 16th and 17th December.

Diglipur, Dec. 17: The Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat Ram Krishna Gram, Shri Shyamal Bhowmik has demanded to set up an Intensive Care Unit at Community Health Centre Diglipur. In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Shyamal said that North Andaman is a vast region, composed of Fifteen Gram panchayats with more than 55,000 Population. The lone CHC located at the R K Gram Panchayat is the only Health and well-being centre in this region, aimed to cater to the needs of the People. In the case of specialized treatment and serious illness, the Patients are referred to the GB Pant Hospital at Port Blair.

Rangat, Dec. 17: In the ongoing efforts to combat illicit liquor manufacturing, the PS Rangat police took decisive action, once again demolish a significant quantity of Lehan in the Shyamkund jungle, Bakultala.

Acting on a crucial tip-off, Inspector R.K. Mazumder swiftly formed a dedicated team, including PCs Pranab Halder, K. Samir, Yashwant Rao, and Ct Subol Bepari. This adept team promptly seized a substantial 550 liters of Lehan, along with containers, various utensils, and wood supplies essential for the production of illicit liquor. These materials were cleverly concealed at different locations within the jungle. All confiscated materials were swiftly destroyed, delivering a significant blow to the illicit liquor manufacturing network.
