Port Blair, March 6: A Fun & Fitness run was organised from Veer Savarkar International Airport to Flag Point on 06.03.2024 under the leadership of Airport Director Shri Devender Yadav and Chief Airport Security Officer Shri Rajinder Singh as a part of CISF raising day celebrations.

About 45 officers from Airports Authority of India, CISF and Airlines participated in run.

Port Blair, March 6: A series of capacity building programme under Scheduled Tribe Component (STC) was organized by ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair at Nancowry, Nicobar in collaboration with DAHVS, A&N Administration from 28th February to 1st March 2024. The theme of the training was “Climate resilient scientific livestock farming”.

The trainers were Dr. Arun Kumar De, Senior Scientist, Animal Science Division of ICAR-CIARI along with Dr. Sabita Wati, Senior Veterinary Officer, Veterinary Hospital Kamorta, Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services.

Port Blair, March 6: In a significant leap toward urban digitization, the Port Blair Municipal Council has unveiled the eNagarsewa mobile app. The inauguration, presided over by Shri. Keshav Chandra, IAS Chief Secretary of A & N Administration, in the esteemed presence of Smt. S. Selvi, Chairperson, PBMC, Shri Nikhil Kumar, IAS Comm-Cum-Secretary UD, Shri A S P S Ravipraksh, IAS Secretary UD and Shri. Dilkhush Meena, IAS Secretary PBMC. The event, attended by various senior officers from the Administration and PBMC, marked the official launch of the app, designed to streamline municipal services.

Port Blair, March 6: The Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) in co-ordination with Blood Center, G.B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, supported INS Utkrosh, Port Blair to organized a blood donation camp at INS Utkrosh, Port Blair on 6/03/2024as part of 40th anniversary celebrations of INAS 318. Altogether 45 units of blood were donated by the voluntary donors.

Port Blair, Mar. 6: The State Child Protection Society (SCPS), under Directorate of Social Welfare will be conducting Poem Writing Competition for children aged 10-18 years as part of the Swachhata Abhiyan initiative. The competition aims to encourage children to use their creativity to promote cleanliness and hygiene in their communities.
