Mayabunder, Jan. 19: The National Health Authority, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India has launched the Ayushman App BIS 2.0 as part of the Ayushman Bhav campaign. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) beneficiaries who can create their PMJAY Cards using this app. The PMJAY beneficiaries of A&N Islands having Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) categories of Ration Cards can create their PMJAY Cards using this app. The PHH and AAY Ration Card holders can also visit the nearest Gram Panchayat & Health Centres to get their PMJAY Cards created.

Port Blair, Jan. 19: The passengers have been informed that due to technical reasons the sailing programme of MV Campbell Bay to Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 23.01.2024 at 0900 Hrs from Port Blair and her return voyage on 25.01.2024 at 0800 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry has been cancelled. Passengers those who are holding the tickets of MV Campbell Bay for the above sailings have been advised to cancel their tickets and get full refund.

The general consumers and Government Departments have been informed that power supply will remain suspended in Haddo, Haddo Wharf, Foreshore Road and upto Civil Aviation Delanipur, Buniyadabad, AIR, DDK Colony, part of Delanipur, part of Prem Nagar, Coast Guard Enclave, Coast Guard HQ, Coast Guard Jetty, Panipat Road & Fortress Head Quarter on Jan. 20 from 9 am to 2 pm in connection with the rectification of 33 KV Zebra Tie Line underground power cable at Haddo in front of the Electricity Site Office.

Port Blair, Jan. 19: The passengers have been informed that due to technical reasons, the sailing programme of Nalanda to Little Andaman on 24.01.2024 at 0700 hrs from Port Blair and her return voyage on the same day at 2100 hrs from Little Andaman to Port Blair has been cancelled. Passengers those who are holding the tickets of Nalanda for the above sailings have been advised to cancel their tickets and get full refund.

Port Blair, Jan 18: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma called on the Hon’ble Lt. Governor yesterday at Raj Niwas and raised many crucial issues.

One prominent issue among others was re-constitution of Andaman & Nicobar Islands UT Haj Committee and appointment of Executive Officer for UT Haj Committee. 

Highlighting a long pending grievance of the Muslim population of this Union Territory he informed the Hon’ble Lt. Governor that the A&N Islands UT Haj Committee was re-constituted vide Notification No. 20-35/2002- Haj (S.W) dated 26th May, 2006 for period of three years w.e.f. 01.07.2006 which was extended for further period of six months w.e.f 01.07.2009 or till a new Committee is reconstituted whichever is earlier vide Notification No. 1-5/2009-Haj (S.W) dated 30th October 2009. The said extended period expired in December 2009.
