Port Blair, Feb 18: Due to administrative reasons, the following amendments have been made in the sailing programme of Foreshore Sector vessels by the Directorate of Shipping Services. The amended schedule is as under:

The scheduled departure time of the vessel MV Rangat to Swaraj Dweep on 20.02.2024 at 1700 hrs from Haddo Wharf has been postponed. Now, the vessel will sail for Swaraj Dweep on 20.02.2024 at 1930 hrs from Haddo Wharf. 

Port Blair, Feb 18: e-EPIC is a secure portable document format (PDF) version of the EPIC which can be downloaded on mobile or in a self-printable form on the computer. A voter can thus store the card on his/her mobile, upload it as a PDF on Digi locker or print it and self-laminate it. This is in addition to PVC EPIC being issued currently.

Who is eligible for e-EPIC?

All General Voters who have valid EPIC Number. All new electors registered during Special Summary Revision 2023 & 2024 and who registered their mobile number while applying will get a SMS and may download e-EPIC.

College of Education yesterday.

Port Blair, Feb 16: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration to post an additional Staff Nurse at the Blood Bank of G B Pant Hospital to ensure uninterrupted and efficient service delivery.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that he has received reports from General Public that the Blood Bank unit at G.B. Pant Hospital is facing certain challenges due to understaffing. As per information received from patients, currently, the Blood Bank unit at G.B. Pant Hospital operates with only one staff nurse, leading to difficulties for the general public who wish to donate blood and avail other related services.
