From the safe navigation of ships through our intricate waters to the sustainable management of our marine resources, your roles are pivotal.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: The last date for submission of online application forms for admission to Two Years B.Ed. Degree Programme for the academic session 2023-24 in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair has been extended up to 3rd October 2023 due to non-receipt of results of certain subjects from Pondicherry University. Desirous candidates can now submit their online application up to 3rd October 2023 via URL http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.

Kamorta, Sept. 27: For the first time in Nancowrie group of Island, the District Administration, Nicobars organized an event with the theme “Zilla Prashashan Aapke Dwar” at Kamorta and Katchal Islands on 26th September, 2023. The event was organised in the EOC conference hall of Assistant Commissioner’s office at Kamorta Island at 9.30 AM and in the Community Hall, Japan Tikrey, Katchal at 2.30 PM on the same day. The Deputy Commissioner, Ms Jyoti Kumari, IAS chaired the event from the district Head Quarter, Car Nicobar through VC.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the social wing of the Sant Nirankari Mission organized a Blood Donation Camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Junglighat, Port Blair on 24th September, 2023. The camp was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rekha, MD (Ayurveda), Specialist Panchakarma at Ayush Hospital, Port Blair. In her speech Dr. Rekha emphasized the importance of blood those in need. Further, she added that in the Materialistic world, many things can be bought but blood cannot. Blood can only be donated by healthy & willing individuals.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: A fitness program can be a valuable component of a substance abuse recovery plan. Exercise can have numerous physical and psychological benefits that support recovery by reducing cravings, improving mood, increasing self-esteem, and promoting overall well-being. In this regard, the Department of Social Welfare organized an Awareness Programme under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan at Jogger’s Park on 24th September, 2023 in which more than 70 people participated. The session was conducted by Shihan M.S. Murugan, International Laughter Yoga Ambassador.
