Port Blair, Dec. 8: The ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has addressed a letter to the Secretary (PBMC), concerning the deplorable state of roads between Vijay Baugh Street to Ganesh Temple in Ward No.9, Port Blair.

Halder highlighted the deteriorating conditions of these roads, emphasizing the severe impact on the daily lives of countless commuters and residents as the situation has escalated to a point where it poses not only inconvenience but a serious risk to public safety.

Port Blair, Dec. 8: The three-day compulsory training workshop Natural Resource Management and Conflict Resolution Skills for Forest Management for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officers conducted by Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair from 6th – 8th December 2023 culminated today.  The training workshop organized in collaboration with Department of Environment and Forests, sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. A total of 20 service officers from different States & Union Territory including Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand attended the training.

Pot Blair, Dec. 8: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been signed between Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) and Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) today with an objective of giving impetus to hands-on training and up-gradation of technical skills of students of DBRAIT. TKM has been providing Toyota Technical Education program (T-TEP) in association with Technical Institute throughout the country. As a part of MoA, TKM shall be providing Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) to the final year students of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and also to the students of one-year skill development program offered by DBRAIT.

Port Blair, Dec. 8: ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker held a meeting with the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Shri. Keshav Chandra, IAS on Thursday.

During the meeting, the leaders conveyed the concerns and aspirations of the citizens of A&N Islands regarding various urgent issues affecting the region.

Port Blair, Dec. 8: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was held at Gram Panchayat, Rabindra Nagar, Little Andaman on Dec.6. Shri Cherian Mathews, Block Development Officer, CD Block, Little Andaman was the special invitee. PRI members Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Rabindra Nagar were also present on the occasion. Stalls/ counters were setup in coordination with line Departments. Medical NCD and TB screening, updating of ABHA Card were held.
