Port Blair, Dec. 17: The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi has deputed Ophthalmologists from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi to Port Blair, A&N Islands from 2nd January, 2024 for 45 days to clear the backlog of cataract surgeries and to provide eye OPD services at G.B. Pant Hospital / ANIIMS.

Port Blair, Dec. 15: In order to improve the skills of Beach Officer, Tourist Safety and Enforcement Team, Lifeguards, and Tourism Stakeholders of Corbyn’s Cove Beach and also to improve the co-ordination between them to make them confident and efficient enough to swim across any challenges comes on the way during their challenging nature of job, a table top exercise followed by mock drill was conducted at Corbyn’s Cove Beach here today.

Port Blair, Dec. 17: The general public have been informed that there will be a downtime of online Bus Ticketing application https://ants.andaman.gov.in and its Mobile app “ANTS PATHIK” on Dec.18, 2023 for the entire day due to scheduled maintenance of the applications. During this downtime, booking/cancellation of bus tickets will remain suspended.

Port Blair, Dec. 15: The SDM South Andaman under the directions of Deputy Commissioner (SA) visited various locations at Teylerabad and Bimblitan and seized illegally dumped material at various sites. Directions were issued to desist from any illegal activity. In case, any such illegal quarry activities are found, necessary strict actions under the law would be taken and the heaviest of costs would be imposed on the violators.
