Port Blair, Dec. 4: The ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has raised concern regarding the persistent non-availability of essential Ayurvedic medicines at the Ayush Unit of the Community Health Centre in Rangat.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder articulated the gravity of the situation, pointing out the consistent unavailability of crucial Ayurvedic medicines, causing inconvenience to those seeking alternative and traditional forms of healthcare in Rangat.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament on 02.12.2023 inaugurated the long-awaited Open Community Hall at Talbagan, which was constructed under MPLAD fund.

The hall is now open for various purposes, including religious functions, cultural events, social gatherings and family functions.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: The Regional Institute of Education, NCERT Bhubaneswar in collaboration with State Institute of Education (SIE), Port Blair is conducting 5 days Capacity Building Programme on Learning Outcomes in Social Sciences for the Secondary School Teachers from Dec.4 to 8, 2023 at SIE, Shiksha Sadan Port Blair. The main objective of the programme is to develop understanding on concept and importance of learning outcomes of Social Sciences and to design and use learning resources, pedagogy and assessment strategy relating to Learning Outcomes in Social Sciences at Secondary Level.

Diglipur, Dec. 4: In a well appreciated move towards fostering youth fitness and well-being, the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 02.12.2023 has inaugurated a modern Gym in Shibpur area of Diglipur region, which was set up under MPLADS Funds.

The installation of these state-of-the-art fitness facilities will allow youths of the region to focus on bodybuilding, fitness and daily workouts.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: The Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee, Department of Science and Technology, A & N Administration celebrated National Pollution Control Day on Dec.2, 2023 on the theme ‘Sustainable Development for a Clean and Healthy Planet’. To mark the occasion, the Department organised a mass sticker distribution programme with the message ‘Walk More; Drive Safely’ to reduce air pollution caused due to the emission from vehicles. Stickers were pasted on the spot on various types of vehicles at Petrol Pumps of Lamba Line, Jodakalan, Bathubasti, Bambooflat to create awareness among general public on harmful effects of pollution and also to promote e-vehicles in A&N Islands with the motive to make a paradigm shift from using fossil fuel to green energy.
