On the auspicious occasion of "Guru Nanak Dev-ji’s Birth Anniversary", I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to all inhabitants of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

This festival, celebrated as 'Guru Parv' and 'Prakash Parv', inspires us to imbibe the ideologies of Guru Nanak Dev-ji and work towards religious harmony and prosperity and equality of all.

Guru Nanak Dev-ji described living an "active, creative, and practical life" of "truthfulness, fidelity, self-control and purity" as being higher than the metaphysical truth. On this auspicious occasion, let all of us come together and pray for peace, progress and prosperity in the lives of the people of the Islands.
