Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Hon’ble Special Judge (POCSO) at Port Blair Shri. Bhawani Shankar Sharma on 27th September, 2023 convicted one accused person namely Paritosh Sarkar resident of Little Andaman. The accused person committed rape in the year 2012 upon her step-daughter who was then aged about 09 years.

The matter came to limelight when the victim raised a shout and the surrounding people arrived, then the matter was informed to the concerned Police Station who registered a case against the accused person under Section 376 and 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the investigation was taken by SI Aditya Narayan.
