Port Blair, Nov. 24: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep will sail from Port Blair to Vizag on 26.11.2023 at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 Hrs to 1600 Hrs on 25.11.2023. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0800 Hrs on 26.11.2023. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll with reference to 01.01.2024 as the qualifying date with a view to prepare an accurate, error free and healthy electoral rolls. The focus of this exercise will be on registration of all eligible electors especially youth, females and other marginalized section of the society. The current Summary Revision of electoral roll – 2024 is more important because this is the final ahead of General Elections to Lok Sabha due in early part of 2024. As such, 100% error free enrolment is required to be achieved so as to conduct the Lok Sabha Election in free and fair manner.

Rangat, Nov. 24: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Campaign continued on the 5th day in Sabari and Parnashala in Rangat Tehsil by welcoming the specially designed IEC Van.  This was followed by the screening of video. Raises Issues of Re-Constitution of SEIAA & SEAC and Lifting of Ban on Trochus Niloticus Before Minister

New Delhi, Nov. 21: Shri. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member-BJP today met Shri. Bhupendra Yadav, Hon'ble Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India at New Delhi.

Jolly has raised two vital issues pertaining to A & N Islands, as indicated under:

1) Firstly, the issue with respect of early notifications of Re-Constitution of State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) and State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC), A & N Islands was raised before the Hon'ble Minister. He pointed out that in order to Re-Constitute the aforementioned Authority & Committee, recently the proposed names of its members was forwarded by the A & N Administration before the Ministry for its approval and the same is pending for its approval and subsequent notification.
