The UT of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh were established on 31st October, 2019. As we celebrate heritage and the unique connections that bind those territories and these Islands, reflect upon the remarkable ties that exist between these two beautiful regions of our great nation.

Shri Ebrahim Jadwet, Member, Airport Advisory Committee of Veer Savarkar International Airport has condoled the demise of Shri Bhagat Singh, Chairman of A&N State Cooperative Bank.
Shri Bhagat Singh was a well-wisher of the Islands who always worked for the welfare of the Islanders. Shri Jadwet prays to Almighty to give strength to the family members to bear this irreplaceable loss.

The office bearers of Indian National Trade Union Congress Andaman and Nicobar Islands and all its affiliated trade unions was shocked and saddened to know the demise of Shri Bhagat Singhji Superintendent Engineer (Rtd) Department of Electricity A&N Administration and the Chairman Managing Committee of the A&N State Cooperative Bank Ltd Port Blair. He was one of the sons of the soil of these Islands and always worked for the upliftment and welfare of the poor masses of these Islands.
