Port Blair, March 18: There has been a recent surge in fraudulent emails, purportedly from Indian Cyber Crime & Indian Cyber Squad or in the name of government fictitious agencies, such as BPR&D, IB & CBI. These malicious emails are accompanied by fake and fabricated letters, falsely bearing the letterheads of investigative bodies such as the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), or Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D). They threaten severe legal consequences if recipients do not cooperate and falsely accuse individuals of involvement in pornographic images and materials or narcotics smuggling.

Port Blair, March 18: A five days training on adolescent friendly health services under RKSK was organized for ANMs from Mach 12 to 16, 2024 in the Conference Hall, AYUSH Hospital. The training was aimed at expanding the scope of adolescent health programme from being limited to sexual and reproductive health, to ambit nutrition, injuries and violence (including gender based violence), non-communicable diseases, mental health and substance misuse.

Port Blair, March 18: Keeping its commitment of zero tolerance against illegal activities, on 16/03/2024, team of PS Central Crime Station conducted raid at Attam Pahar behind Industrial Estate where some people were found to be involved in gambling. The Police team successfully caught all the Gamblers who tried to flee from the spot on seeing them. All the 08 people involved were arrested and Rs. 20,530/- in cash was recovered from their possession with board money of Rs. 16,240/-. They have been prosecuted under Sections 5/7 of Andaman and Nicobar Gambling Regulation, 1951.
