Port Blair, Dec. 26: In continuation to the earlier press release dated 01.12.2023, 11.12.2023 & 16.12.2023 wherein, the Department of CS&CA has extended the last date for doing e-KYC upto 29th February, 2024 for the benefit of the left out ration card beneficiaries. Hence, all the left out Ration Card beneficiaries (APL/PHH & AAY) who have not yet completed their e-KYC due to any reason are once again requested to contact any of their nearest Fair Price Shop along with their Aadhaar numbers to get e-KYC done for all the members listed in the ration card.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: To undertake the responsibilities entrusted to the Road Safety Cell, Directorate of Transport will be organizing a full day Road Safety Awareness Camp at Community Hall, Tushnabad on Dec. 28, 2023 which will also include all the services scheduled by the Transport Department at the door steps of the general public which can be availed by the local residents of the adjacent area as well as the residents of the nearby Panchayats viz. Tushnabad, Ferrargunj, Collinpur, Mithakhari, Namunaghar.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: In view of the recent increase in the COVID-19 cases across the country and the world and nominal rise in Influenza Like Illness (ILI) cases across these Islands, as a matter of abundant precaution, the general public have been advised to wear mask in the crowded places. All have also been advised to follow coughing/sneezing etiquettes, personal hygiene and social distancing, wherever applicable to avoid any complications.

Port Blair, Dec. 26: The National Health Authority, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India has launched the Ayushman App BIS 2.0 as part of the Ayushman Bhav campaign. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) beneficiaries who can create their PMJAY cards using this app. The PMJAY beneficiaries of A&N Islands having PHH and AAY categories of Ration Cards can create their PMJAY cards using this app. The PHH and AAY Ration Card holders can also visit the nearest Health Centres to get their PMJAY cards created. The Health Department, A&N Islands shall facilitate the creation of AB-PMJAY Cards for PHH and AAY Ration Card holders of these Islands during the Island Tourism Festival (ITF) to be held from 27/12/2023 to 31/12/2023.
