876 Appointment Letters Given to Recruits in Various Departments of A&N Administration

Port Blair, Sept. 26: A Grand and historic Rozgar Mela was organized by Andaman and Nicobar Administration on 26.09.2023 at 09.45 am at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi participated in this nationwide Rozgar Mela through video conferencing. At the beginning of the program, through video conferencing, Hon’ble Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, in his welcome address, stated that today, a total of 51,000 appointment letters are being distributed in various States and Union Territories of India, for which, the entire credit goes to the Hon’ble Prime Minister. About 10 lakhs vacant posts which have been pending for a long time will be filled as far as possible in which, suitable opportunities for promotion will also be provided.

Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary CPI(M) has condoled the sudden demise of Smt UV Chandramathi, wife of late NK Viswanathan (Headmaster (Secondary) and mother Shri V. Ranjith Kumar, Assistant Director (Sports), Port Blair, at her native place Thalassery, Kerala today (27.09.2023) afternoon. She was 81 years. Shri Ayyappan has conveyed heartfelt condolence to the family members of late UV Chandramathi.      

Port Blair, Sept. 26: In response to the urgent request made by the Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma concerning the relocation of the Polytechnic in Diglipur, a significant progress has been made to ease space constraints faced by Sita Nagar Model School, Diglipur.

The Member of Parliament had earlier highlighted that the Diglipur Polytechnic, with approximately 260 students, has been operating within the premises of Sita Nagar Model School, sharing limited classroom and laboratory space. This coexistence has posed challenges in providing adequate infrastructure and facilities for both institutions.
