Port Blair, Mar. 8: As part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activity, a voter awareness programme was organized by the SVEEP team in the auditorium of TGCE here today. The event also the marked the International Women’s Day celebrations in which working women from different departments, public & private sector participated. The ADM/District Nodal Officer (EEM) as the chief guest joined in the cake cutting ceremony along with womenfolk to celebrate the ‘International Women’s Day’.       Addressing the gathering, especially womenfolk present in good numbers, the ADM greeted all the womenfolk on the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day’. She said, this day acknowledges the contribution of women in every sphere of life.

Port Blair, Mar. 8: The Tourist Guide Training Program organised by Tourism Department in association with Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Bhubaneswar for 12 days in Port Blair from Feb. 26, concluded today. About 150 local aspirants from different Islands successfully completed this training program.

The Director (Tourism), Dr. Jatinder Sohal while addressing the participants in the valedictory program congratulated them for getting this opportunity as the Department had made tremendous efforts for organising this training program and getting them trained by resource persons from the best institute of the country. He requested the candidates to share their experience and feedback.
