Port Blair, April 1: A meeting was held in the conference hall of the Secretariat under the Chairmanship of the Chief Electoral Officer, ANIPC, Shri B.S Jaglan, IAS to discuss issues related to the welfare of Polling Parties. Chairing the meeting, the CEO directed the RO, ANIPC and the Deputy Commissioners of N&M Andaman and Nicobar District to ensure the availability of doctors and paramedics on priority to take care of the health issues, if any, of the Polling Parties and the Police personnel attached with the Polling Teams manning all the 412 Polling Stations on the day of Poll on April 19, 2024. He also urged for ensuring food, drinking water and other basic facilities required in all the Polling Stations for Polling Parties for the smooth conduct of the Polling on the Day of Poll. The CEO urged the Health Officials to ensure that Health Teams should be formed in such a way that they act as Quick Response Team (QRT) as per need arises.

Port Blair, April 1: The Airports Authority of India’s 29th Foundation Day was celebrated at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. On this occasion flash dance, songs were organised by employees of Airports Authority of India and stakeholders working at the Airport. There was poetry competition, inauguration of Volley Ball tournament, badminton, table tennis and tug of war.

Held at TSG Emerald View, Phoenix Bay, the event witnessed the presence of religious scholars representing Gyani Rajinder Singh from Police Gurudwara, Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati from Chinmaya Mission, Father Albinus Barla from Christian community and Moulana Kabeer from Muslim community, fostering interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding.
