Port Blair, Oct. 13: A meeting was convened under the Chairmanship of Commissioner –cum-Secretary (PWD), Ms Nandini Paliwal, IAS on Oct.11, 2023 in the main Conference Hall of Secretariat to discuss different issues related to bad conditions of NH4 in different stretches and issues being faced in movement of vehicles carrying essential supplies of LPG, POL and other goods to North and Middle Andaman.

Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member-BJP today met the Chief Secretary (In-charge) Smti, Nandini Paliwal and appraised her about two burning issues pertaining to the JNRM Girls Hostel and transportation of Oil Tankers, LPG Gas Cylinders and other essential supplies to North & Middle Andaman District.

Shri Vishal Jolly along with office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, ANI visited JNRM Girls Hostel in presence of Principal and other officials. He made a thorough visit and felt seriously that the demands made by students are genuine & reasonable & justified.

It has been observed that Cyber fraudsters have started duping people in the name of unpaid electricity bill. The fraud campaign is being aggressively spread using SMSs. Users tend to be less skeptical of text messages, so Smishing is often lucrative to attackers looking for credentials, banking information, or private data.

Port Blair, Oct. 13: The one-week compulsory training course on Coastal and Marine Biodiversity of Island Ecosystem for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officers conducted by Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair during 9th – 13th, October 2023 culminated on 13th October 2023.  The training course organized in collaboration with Department of Environment and Forests, sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.  Total of 21 service officers from different States & Union Territory including Daman & Diu, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Port Blair, Oct. 13: The Prevention of Cruelty of Animal Act, 1960 has provision for alleviation of suffering of animals. There are various Rules under the PCA Act 1960, which address issues concerning cruelty to animals. Section 11 of the PCA act 1960 prohibits confining animals in unreasonably small spaces. In this context, use of gestation/farrowing crates for pigs is not recommended.
