Minister of State for Minority Affairs, John Barla hands over Appointment Letters to New Recruits

Port Blair, Nov. 30: The UT of Andaman and Nicobar secured the ‘Third Highest Position’ across different locations in the country during the Second Nationwide Grand ‘Rozgar Mela’, with a fairly large number of Appointment Letters distributed to 285 newly recruits to fulfill the promise of Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi to provide Govt. jobs to nearly 10 lakh people.

The grand and historic Second ‘Rozgar Mela’ was organized by Andaman and Nicobar Administration at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi participated in this nationwide Rozgar Mela through video conferencing at 38 different locations across the country.

Port Blair, Nov. 30: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has congratulated the 285 candidates who were presented with Offer of Appointment Letters at the recent 'Grand Rozgar Mela,' held at the DBRAIT Auditorium today.

He appreciated the efforts of Andaman & Nicobar Administration under the leadership of Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for completing the recruitment process of all these posts in a professional and transparent manner.

Rangat, Nov. 30: In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement, a crucial tip-off received by the PS Rangat on 30/11/203 led to the discovery of a substantial illicit liquor production operation deep within the dense jungle of Shyamkund, Bakultala. As part of the continued crackdown on illicit liquor manufacturing, an elite team comprising of PCs Ram Prasad, K Samir, Yashwant Rao and Ct Subol Bepari was swiftly assembled under the leadership of Inspector R.K Mazumder, the SHO of PS Rangat.

Port Blair, Nov. 30: In continuation to its fight against drugs, acting on a specific intelligence input on 28/11/23 Police Team from Narcotics Cell, CID Unit intercepted one person namely Mohammed Shakil S/o Shri. M. J. Ansari (31) yrs, Pvt Tours and Travels Operator, R/o Garacharma from Jirkatang who was travelling to Billiground along with 1.53 grams of methamphetamine, which he had concealed inside his shoe. The contraband was then seized and the accused was arrested following due procedure.

Port Blair, Nov. 30: In a plea to address the dire situation, the ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder drew the attention towards a crucial matter concerning the deplorable state of road conditions between Tushnabad to Collinpur Village.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Engineer of APWD, Halder said that over the past several years, the condition of the road is hampering daily activities and causing significant disruptions to the lives of the people in the area.
