Port Blair, Feb 11: The third round of Hon'ble Prime Minister’s nationwide 'Grand Rozgar Mela' will be organized on 12th February, 2024 at 10.30 am at 46 different locations all over India spread over different States and UTs for distribution of Offers/Letters of Appointment to nearly 1 lakh job seekers.

In this series, as part of the National Programme, the UT Administration of Andaman & Nicobar Islands will also organize the third 'Grand Rozgar Mela' at 9.15 am at the historic Netaji Stadium to distribute Offers of Appointment for various posts of Group 'C' & Group 'B (NG)' level under different Departments of A&N Administration.

Patna, Feb 11: R Kashthuri Bhai, a student of GDMS Port Blair and an ace chess player from A & N Islands, secured the fifth position in the girls under-17 category in the 12th National School Chess Championship 2024 that concluded at the Gyan Bhavan in Patna, Bihar, yesterday.

She played brilliantly and scored six points with four wins and four draws from nine rounds and secured the fifth position in the girls under-17 category in the National School Chess Championship 2024. She was awarded a medal, cash prize and a certificate.

Port Blair, February 11: Toyota Kirloskar Motor [TKM] has announced the launch of the 65th Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) at Dr B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance the skill set of students, thereby enhancing their employability through the company’s unique training initiative namely Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) and Scholarship program for Technical Education and Recognition [STAR] under T-TEP. 

Port Blair, Feb 11: The Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, GoI, Shri Som Parkash, IAS (Retd.) arrived on a three-day visit to A&N Islands today.  Soon after arrival, the Minister visited the National Memorial Cellular Jail.

On Feb.12, the Minister will attend the ‘Rozgar Mela’ at Netaji Stadium. Thereafter, the Minister will hold a review meeting of Logistic Policy of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the Conference Hall of Secretariat.

Port Blair, Feb 11: On February 10, 2024, the non-profit organization Prophetess Priya Ministries celebrated World Pulses Day at their office near Joggers Park. A total of ten families joined for the celebration, which was an informative awareness session for everyone.
