Port Blair, Nov. 15: The Directorate of Social Welfare took the initiative to bring joy and happiness to the inmates of Abhyudaya Complex as they celebrated Diwali and Children's Day. This special event aimed to create a festive atmosphere for the residents and provide a memorable experience for all inmates. The Diwali celebration at Abhyudaya Complex was a vibrant display of lights, colors, and enthusiasm. The inmates came together to observe the auspicious festival by lighting diyas (traditional oil lamps), along with the exchange of sweets and greetings. This act of unity and togetherness greatly uplifted the spirits of those residing in the complex and created a sense of belonging within the community.

In this connection an open selection trial will be conducted at Yadav Association Hall, Biggie Line, Port Blair on 18th Nov. 2023 at 3.00 pm by Penchak Silat Association, A&N Islands. Interested Penchak Silat players (Boys & Girls) of A&N Islands from Zonal Level, District Level and State Level may directly appear in the Open Selection Trial on 18th Nov.
