Port Blair, Dec. 21: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign carried on its momentum within the urban confines by hosting an event at the Tagore Government College Auditorium, Middle Point today. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri B. G. Krishnan, Director (Services) from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Shri Arjun Sharma, Secretary (Planning/APWD), A & N Administration, Shri Dilkhush Meena, Secretary (PBMC), Shri Abhishek Bhukal, Joint Secretary (PBMC) and Shri Anand Vardhan Mishra, Assistant Commissioner, District Office, South Andaman.

Port Blair, Dec. 21: In a recent communication from the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, it has been officially confirmed that the deadline for the submission of Haj Application Forms for the year 2024 has been extended. The new date for the submission is now set for 15th January, 2024.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI, expresses deep sorrow on the passing of Shri N. Ravindran, aged 91 Yrs, father of R. Vimod. The late N. Ravindran a former Primary School headmaster & BJP State General Secretary from 1991 to 1998, who left for heavenly abode yesterday on 20-12-2023 at Nayagaon, Port Blair.  Mr. Jolly extends heartfelt condolences and prays for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to his bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. The funeral procession for Shri N. Ravindran will take place tomorrow from his residence.
