Port Blair, Aug 21: Ganesh Puja is very much important for Hindu community. In Andaman and Nicobar Island due to the COVID 19, the islanders could not celebrate Ramnavami, Janmastmi, Lohri and Holi. Recently, A&N Administration issued an order vide bearing No. 919 dated 20-08-2020 from Deputy Commissioner (SA), Deputy Commissioner South Andaman, where it's mentioned that the movement of Pandits alone from home to temple and back is allowed by the Administration between 06.00 am to 09.00 am, immersion of idols and processions shall not be allowed. The MH&FW Bide Z 28015/19/2020-EMR (POT.) dated 04-June-2020 follows.

In this connection the Kesaria Hindu Vahini have requested the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi for following consideration:

1.) Madhyahna Ganesha Puja Muhurat - 11:06 AM to 01:42 PM Time not 06.00 am to 09.00 am.

3) Ganesha Visarjan falls on Thursday, September 1, 2020

4) Chaturthi Tithi Begins - 11:02 PM on Aug 21, 2020

5) Chaturthi Tithi Ends - 07:57 PM on Aug 22, 2020

The General Public may kindly be allowed to visit nearby temple by walking follow by SOP.

One or Two person may kindly be permit for immersion of idols of Ganesh and processions, as Hindu can't keep the idols in home visarjan falls on 01-09-2020
