Port Blair, Aug 23: It has been observed that many officials in the name of quarantine or being in containment zones do not attend to the office/ field duties. In a circular dated 23rd Aug 2020, the A&N Administration has cleared that the officials undergoing quarantine (10-14 days) have to be in the specific recommendations of health professionals, and their absence from office/ field shall be approved by respective Secretary / HOD. Should they require extended quarantine, the same procedure has to be followed.
In order to enable movement of officials from the containment zone, there is a process to be followed, said the circular. The Respective Secretary/ HOD may follow the same for seamless movement of their officials, the circular added.
