Port Blair, Sept. 6: On 5th September, the Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council, Shri. N.K. Udhaya Kumar along with a team of officials of Engineering Wing and Sanitary Officer of the Council visited various sites of Ward No-11. The Ward Councillior, Smti.Vinita Malhotra briefed the Civic Chief about various issues pertaining to the Ward.
The team visited the Health and Wellness Centre at Shadipur wherein the whole area of the Centre was sanitized. It was informed that the Health Centre is functioning without any lab facilities and the local residents have to go to GB. Pant hospital for conducting tests.
The Civic Chief assured that the matter will be taken up with the higher authorities of DHS and the issue will resolved as early as possible. Udhaya Kumar also directed the officials concerned to complete the maintenance of road works of the area within the stipulated time frame.
The team further inspected the ongoing renovation works of the Mazhar Pahad Community Hall and the Chairperson, directed the officials concerned to complete the works by 15th of this month so that it can be made functional for the general public of the area.
