Port Blair, Oct. 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Island, State Unit has been organising awareness programmes on Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local and are also promoting Khadi as a part of week long programme from 25th of September 2020 to 2nd of October 2020 under the leadership of Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President.
The Incharge of the programme Shri. M Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, along with the Co-Incharge of the Programme Smt. Sunita Sharma and other karyakartas of the Party have been organising several awareness programmes throughout the Islands from Diglipur to Campbell Bay.
Today an awareness programme was conducted at Dollygunj, Port Blair in which several local residents participated. The programme was utilised to raise awareness among the residents about various schemes of the Govt. of India, which they can take the benefit of, to start or expand their venture. Awareness was also raised regarding supporting local businesses and products. Khadi was also promoted during the event.
The event also saw the participation of various departments of Govt. of India and UT Administration. The resource persons from Industries, Fisheries, MSME & Lead Bank also briefed the gathering.
