Port Blair, Oct. 27: To strengthen the preventive measures of COVID-19 Pandemic, Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, DIGP, A&N Islands along with Shri Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, SDPO Car Nicobar is on 3 days visit to Nancowrie group of Islands. In order to implement the preventive measures of COVID protocols, the DIGP interacted with the CTC’s of Kamorta and Nancowrie along with the village heads & Shop Keeper association to strengthen the fight against Corona Virus at PS Nancowrie.

In the interactive session, the DIGP highlighted the protocols to be adhered for containing COVID-19 and the mandatory precautions/guidelines to be followedby all individuals in true letter and spirit. He focused on the directives that everyone must maintain COVID-19 appropriate behavior like wearing Facemasks in public places, to maintain social distancing of 2 gaz ki dooriand the habit of healthy practice and hand hygiene should be a part of Life. He highlighted about “Jan Aandolan” Campaign launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and requested for more participation from all corner of life. Further, he also emphasized upon that, in case of any fever/flu/ILI like symptoms, the same should be communicated to the Admn./Health authorities and if possible the individual should keep themselves on self Isolation as it is risky and can endanger rest of the family members/relatives/community.

Shir Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, SDPO Car Nicobar highlighted the need for continuous efforts for COVID enforcement in order to contain the pandemic in the Islands. He lauded the efforts of PS Nancowrie Team in the strict enforcement done by the Police Staffs and support of the Local communities for extending all support for the containing the spread of COVID-19 Virus in Nancowrie Islands.
