Port Blair, Dec. 15: The inclement weather conditions prevailing over Andaman Islands today hampered the flights landing at Port Blair’s Veer Savarkar International Airport. In one such incident reported today, Go Air’s Port Blair bound flight had to return from half way back to Chennai. The flight had carried several islanders including old age and sick people on board apart from tourists visiting the islands.

Go Air disembarked the passengers at Chennai runway at about 6.30 pm today and washed their hands from taking the responsibility of more than hundred passengers. Passengers who are stranded at Chennai airport have complained that Go Air before disembarking the passengers had assured food and accommodation but soon after reaching Chennai, the Airlines tried to evade from its responsibility.

Uncertainty now prevails for more than a hundred people including sick and old aged who are stranded at Chennai Airport.  The stranded now cry for help. It can be expected that the Andaman & Nicobar Administration will come to the rescue of the stranded passengers and also take action on such Airline Companies who only mean monitory profits.
