Port Blair, Dec. 20: The Nicobar Police has always been very active and innovative in its pursuits, be its various community initiatives, sports events or Police ki Paathshala. In order to showcase the good works, best practices followed by Nicobar Police: a half yearly magazine by the name of "Nicobar Police Diaries” has been conceptualized by the district police.
As all the police stations/out posts are functioning on remote Islands and many are devoid of any mobile or tv connectivity,this magazine is a right step in connecting all the units of Nicobar District in one thread. Good work done by one unit will motivate the others to excel and follow in their footsteps. Moreover, this magazine also presents an opportunity to all the officers and personnel posted in the district to show their creative side.
The first edition of the half yearly magazine “Nicobar Police Diaries” has been released by Shri Dependra Pathak, IPS, Director General of Police, A & N Islands today in the presence of ADGP (L&O) Shri Madhup K. Tewari,IPS, IGP (Intel.) Shri Sanjay Kumar, IPS, IGP(HQ) Shri Sanjay Jain, IPS and other senior officers.
DGP A&N Islands appreciated the efforts of SP Nicobar Shri Rajeev Kumar, SDPO Campbell Bay Shri Prashant Choudhary and editorial team for publishing the maiden edition of the magazine.The magazine is bilingual and has content in both English and Hindi.The magazine has many sections e.g. each police station has been covered separately, visit of VIPs and senior officers, corona warriors, performing cops, photo section covering beauty of Nicobar, articles covering various facets of policing and community initiatives of the district police.
