Port Blair, Dec. 21: The NGO, ‘WITH YOU’ on 20th Dec. 2020 organized an awareness camp in order to help avail various schemes of A&N building and other construction worker's welfare board. The camp was held at the NGO's office at Bambooflat.
On this occasion Ms V. K. Mariyam Bibi, President WITH YOU welcomed the gathering and appealed to all private construction workers to enrol their name in Labour Department to avail the various benefits provided by the welfare board.
Smti Maya, Labour Inspector speaking on the occasion informed the workers about various schemes such as educational assistance, maternity benefits, medical assistance, funeral assistance, marriage assistance, pension benefits etc. During the camp, all the queries of the workers regarding the registration process and several other topics were addressed. Nearly 100 workers attended the camp out of which several worker's enrolled themself on the spot.
